We are looking for excellent clinicians who are experienced in managing people with persistent pain to work alongside international experts in pain research.
We have several exciting opportunities for clinicians to be part of this large-scale, government-funded clinical trial, commencing in 2024.
We are looking for expert allied health professionals to join our team as PhD students.
The Neck Pain Trial is a telehealth-based clinical trial for people with persistent neck pain. Successful PhD candidate(s) will deliver interventions and the PhD project(s) will involve shaping the intervention and outcome measures. You will be supervised by Associate Professor Tasha Stanton and Dr Felicity Braithwaite at the Persistent Pain Research Group, University of South Australia, and Professor James McAuley at the University of New South Wales. You will participate in University and research group training programs, scientific writing training and relevant conferences.
This PhD opportunity will be fully funded, including a living stiped.
•Essential criteria: Training and experience treating people with musculoskeletal pain, hold an Honours (first class) or Masters by Research degree, qualified and registered allied health clinician, and capacity to complete a PhD full time (= at least 4 days per week).
•Desirable criteria: Live in (or be willing to move to) Adelaide, at least 5 years’ clinical experience, experience delivering interventions via telehealth, training and experience delivering graded motor imagery, experience treating people with persistent neck pain.
